Intro Blog

Hey guys i'm back with the first blog of 2020! This is my intro blog. So I will basically be telling you what I did in the holiday what my goals and hope are for the year and what I am looking forward to.

In the holidays I didn't go anywhere or do much, but my Uncle Dodo came from America. He came for his sons wedding in Auckland but he flew down to Christchurch for a couple of days to see us. When he was down he stayed with my sister at her house, and one day we drove down to Akaroa with my dad, my brother and my two sisters. I was in my sisters mini with my brother and my Uncle. We drove all the way to Akaroa with the roof down. When we got there my sisters boyfriend met us there because he rode his motorbike there. We walked around Akaroa and went into some shops and went for a walk on the beach. We ate lunch at a restaurant that was like fish and chips. After that we went for a walk around and got ice cream and stuff. Then we drove back to Christchurch. When my Uncle was leaving we dropped him off to the airport and he gave me some money to buy something for my birthday. I did some few other things on the holidays like my birthday. I didn't have a big party I just had a barbecue with my family and my neighbours, and that was really it. I also made a whole bunch of fortune tellers and paper air planes. I made a massive fortune teller that took 6 pieces of paper stuck together to make!

My goals and hopes for the year are:
- To approve in my work, especially maths.
- To do well in my leadership groups.
- To move up in the level up levels.
- To understand more of the 6 c's and the school virtues.

What I am most looking forward to this year is leadership groups. We font know what our leadership groups are yet but I am hoping to be in PALS. I want to be in PALS because I love sports and I love being apart of at team.

Anyway that's it for today bye!

How do I celebrate who I am

For this terms PBL, the driving question is How do I Celebrate who I am? We have unpacked a few of the sub-questions for it. Here they are:

- Who am I?
- What is Culture?
- What types of ways do people celebrate culture?

At the end of the term we will have our PBL show case where we will be showing everything that we made. I know what i'm going to make but you'll have to wait until that blog to see! Our main artefact could be anything it just needs to represent us. Then we have 2 sub-artefacts, one of them is music it could be percussion you could play an instrument or use online resources. Then second is art you could do any type for art some people are even doing wearable arts. Anyway that's it. Bye!

Pool day

On Friday we had pool day. We got on a bus and we went to Welthem pool. Before we went we had to make sure we did all of our work or else we had to sit out of the pool fir a while. Their was a bunch of pool toys that we were playing with. Then they bought in a really big orange log where people would try to get up on and sit on it. I got up a lot of times but people would spin it and I would fall off. We went on the hydro slides in age groups when it was my turn I went on it over ad over again it was so much fun! Anyway that's all for today bye!

Top Team

Hey guys today I will be telling you about top team! Top team is where these people come to school with a bunch of things and set up little activities around our back field. My favourite activity that we did was the water bus. I liked the water bus because we all had to sit one after each other and the first person fills up a bucket of water then tries to tip it into the next persons bucket, then the person that just gave there water to the other person has to run to the back of the line. The team that has the most water in there bucket at the end of there line wins. I really liked this because we all got saturated in water and it was really funny when you spilt your water on everyone behind you. There was a bunch more activities. I'm pretty sure there was about 12 activities there. I think that the most funniest activity that there was, was this thing that you had to stand in a really big kind of belt with everyone in your team in it. Then you had to walk and move it around with you as you are in it. The team to have the most laps done by the end of it wins. I found it funny because we kept on falling out and tripping up, in the need it ended up that only 3 of us were doing it everyone else gave up! Anyway that's all for today bye!

Haiku

Hey guys i'm back and today I will be showing you my Haiku I made for writing in Week 7. We had to choose a type of poem to write out of: Limerick, Haiku, Using Comparisons in poetry, Cinquan. I chose to write a haiku about food, because I REALLY like food. How you write a haiku is that, one haiku only has 3 lines. The first line has to only have 5 syllables, the second line can have 7 syllables, then the last line can have 5 syllables again. So the rule is, 575. Here's what my haiku turned out like:

Anyway that's all for today bye!

Create Task Week 6

Hey guys i'm back with anew blog, and today I will be showing you my create task for week 6. For maths this week we were learning about tree diagrams. We had to go onto a google drawing and choose a question to do, I chose a question about number plates. The question was: There are four letters available to make up a car number plate, W, X, Y and Z. The number plate must have only three letters, but they can be placed in any order. How many different number plates can you make? This is what my tree diagram turned out like:

Anyway way I hope you like it bye!

Have you ever made a tree diagram?
