King Charles Cavalier Spaniel

Hey guys i'm back with another blog. Today I am going to be talking about the breed King Charles Cavalier. I am writing about this dog breed because I have a King Charles Cavalier. His name is Charlie. This is him:

King Charles Cavaliers are quite small dogs and they don't grow that big, they don't bark a lot either. There life span is mainly up to 9 - 14 years. They are basically royal dogs. They got there name from King Charles the II, and they sat next to Queen Victoria. King Charles Cavaliers can be many different colours, they can be Black and tan, Blenheim, Tri - Colour, and Ruby. Here's what different colours they look like:

~ Bonus Facts ~

- They were bread from toy spaniels.
- They had access to every building in England basically (even the house of parliament).
- The pug influenced it's look.
- The breed was split in two.
- They were flea magnets.
- Ronald Regan had one.
- Blenheim is a reference to battle.
- They are also called "The comfort Spaniel"
- They are one of Americas most popular breeds.

Do you have a dog? What breed is it?

  1. HI Arihia - another informative post. I like the way you bullet point the bonus facts at the end. Love the pic of Charlie in the sunglasses.

I had a dog but sadly he dies a couple of years ago - he was a big, long haired, golden coloured beautiful dog called Griz. He was fourteen when he died. I miss him.

Do you have any other pets?

    1. Hi Mrs. Earl, i'm sorry about your dog. Thank you for the response. Charlie is the only pet I have, but I used to have a duck named Collin. He lived with my sister but I would go over to her house to check on him and feed him. But he died last year.
