Hey guys i'm back with another blog, today I will be talking about World War II. World War II was the second world war. It went on from 1939 - 1945. WWII was the cause of Germany invading Poland, and Britain and France declaring a war against Germany. They estimated 45 - 60 million people were killed, 6 million Jews were murdered in Nazi concentration camps, apart of Hitler's "Final Solution" which we now call Holocaust.
WWII was fought between the Axis Powers which is Germany, Italy and Japan, and the Allied Powers which is Britain, United States, Soviet Union and France. It was was the most deadliest war in all of human history. WWII ended in 1945 with the surrender of the Axis Powers, about a week after the Allies accepted Germany's surrenders Adolf Hitler committed suicide.

~ Bonus Facts ~

- Millions of Germans were imprisoned and killed because they didn't fit the image of the 'perfect German'.
- Around the same time Germany fought for the power of Europe, Japan wanted to control Asia and the Pacific.
- Most countries remained neutral through the war.
- The Untied States didn't join the war until 1941 when Japan attacked them.
- France had more guns, tanks and soldiers then Germany in 1940.

Do you know anything about WWII?

  1. Hi Arihia!

Wow what an informative post, you've captured the main points really well. I like how you add Bonus Facts to your posts I always learn something new.

I don't know a lot about WWII although I have watched quite a few movies about the subject. Remind me when we get back to school I have a graphic novel about WWII that you might like to read!

  2. WW2 is such an interesting topic Arihia, I find it so interesting. When I was in Europe I went to Dachau Work Camp in Germany and in Amsterdam I went to the house where Anne Frank hid, it was so interesting and very sad. My grandfather fought in WW2 and actually was an artist so he drew maps for the allies, I've always been really proud of him for that. Ka pai for your interesting topics you are blogging about!
